Update to latest version on Debian

Hi All,

Since there is no official debian repository, I would like to create an update script for upgrading to the latest Fresh version of LO.

First, I have to decide automatically that there is a newer version or not. So I have to fetch the current version of LO Fresh.
I haven’t found a text source on the website referring reliably to the latest stable version.

How would you find it out automatically?

You might want to read extensions/source/update/check/updateprotocol.cxx, which determines how LibreOffice itself checks for its own updates.
