Update to Latest Version

Hi
Have not logged in for a couple of years. Now ok.

On LinuxMint20.3 and current OfficeCalc version is 6.4.7.2
Cannot locate instructions on updating procedure to latest version. Can someone refer me to best place to get instructions. Thanks
Changing over from XL to Calc. Use Writer all the time.
Does Calc have an equivalent to the DROP function in Excel. Drop off n number of rows from table.

Excel Automate, is there an equivalent in Calc. ?
Can I put Calc online with storage, and use online, someplace ?

Thanks

Charles Harris

instructions on updating procedure to latest version.

Download the appropriate package and install it; LibreOffice does not have ‘updates’

You can see Functions by Category

See if LibreOffice Online might meet your needs

Usually for linux updates are maintained by the distribution. In your case Mint is based on Ubuntu, so I guess the same policies apply: The distributions only update “minor releases” so they wil never switch to 7.6 from your 6.4, even if the base system may get longer updates as an LTS. (Some exceptions apply for example for Firefox).
.
So you either have to update your Mint to some 23-Version or you have to install a newer version yourself. I remember there is an ppa maintained by TDf for Debian/ubuntu-based distributions, wich should work for Mint.
.
I guess upgrading your mint is the easier way, if you don’t have special needs for staying at the older version. In any case: make backups before changing anything!

Thankyou for y our advice. Will be the way I go with updating Mint and LibreOffice at the same time. Kool.

Not exactly by TDF, but the Ubuntu LibreOffice packaging team works with the community, and produces some patches upstream.
