Upgrading to .4.4.4 - Installation package refused

Windows 7 Home premium vers. 6.1 (Build 7601: Service pack 1)

The following file is downloaded:

LibreOffice_4.4.4_Win_x86 ……. Windows Installer

But on “doubleclicking” this there is an error message:

Misslyckad installation av LibreOffice_4.4.4:

”Installationspaketet kunde inte öppnas.
Kontakta programvaruförsäljaren för att bekräfta att det är ett
giltigt paket för Windows Installer”

Swedish:

Misslyckad installation av
LibreOffice_4.4.4:

”Installationspaketet kunde inte
öppnas. Kontakta
programvaruförsäljaren för att
bekräfta att det är ett giltigt paket
för Windows Installer”

Engelska:

Unsuccessful installation of
LibreOffice_4.4.4:

"The installation package could not be
opened. Contact the application vendor
to verify that this is a valid Windows
Installer package "

This is the v4.4.4.3 32-bit version for Windows in EN-US (US English):

https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/?type=win-x86&version=4.4&lang=en-US

…and this is the page that contains checksums if you think that the file was curtailed:
http://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/stable/4.4.4/win/x86/LibreOffice_4.4.4_Win_x86.msi.mirrorlist

(languages + versions + download locations may be changed)

The simplest way to ensure that you got the whole file is to get a torrent. Otherwise, the simplest method to checksum is to use md5sum.exe on the downloaded file (you will see `MD5 Hash’ as one of the checksums) (just search for that file - it was produced by the Cygwin folks from the Linux utility of the same name).

If this helps then please tick the answer (:heavy_check_mark:).
