Uploading image returns ">3 points required to upload files"?

Both the question and the accepted solution date back to the time of askbot software.
They are obsolete. In my opinion, the topic should be removed.

1. I want to upload a screenshot and
   get this remark.
2. At first I thought,
   maybe it is because the automatic
   name of the picture generated when
   taking a screenshot has too many
   dots in it in the date e.g.
   2016.03.16 ?
3. So I eliminated the date. There’s no more dots apart
   from the .jpg Yet I still get this
   error pop up. Help? Thy

This is due to foolish decisions taken on inception of this site, never countermanded. The individuals that could change it never read the site (there have been a 1,000 posts saying the same as you, yet no change).
