Using conditional formatting to gray the background of every other row.
It’s working fine in empty cells, but where the cell contains data something is overriding, causing their backgrounds to remain white.
Any suggestions?
Thanx, Alan

No - you even don’t provide how the conditional format looks like (which Condition(s) is/are used). In addition, information from Help -> About LibreOffice
is missing (making it impossible to reproduce your problem). You probably should upload an anonymized sample file showing the problem to get a sound answer. Use edit to add additional information/to upload a sample file and don’t use Add Answer
Unfortunately, we’re not psychic. How are we supposed to know what conditions you’ve entered?
Upload your file here. To do so, edit your entry question and use the paper clip icon.

If you copy a cell and paste back into the spreadsheet, you will paste the entire cell: data and formatting (including conditional formatting). If you inspect the cell, you will find that conditional formatting is not set correctly.
