I create or initialize both Standard default document Properties (e.g., Title, Subject) and add Custom-properties (e.g., Author, Title, Project, Publisher) and I want to be able to insert those text-fields on slides in the same way I would use them in a LibreOffice-writer document, i.e., anywhere I could type text.
Impress does not seem to have a feature to select/insert such created custom properties that have been created under File->Properties->Custom Properties.
Any hints?
I have the exact same problem. As a small business owner this would help me immensely.
I suppose tdf#53548 applies.
A workaround might be to create the presentation in Writer and export to pdf then use the full screen presentation abilities of Adobe Reader (Ctrl+L) to show it as a slide show.
This does unfortunately not solve the question raised. The Insert/Field menu does only provide date/time, title, author, filename, slide number/count. Not even standard fields as defined in the file properties such as subject, keywords etc are accessible. This feature has been requested frequently and already in older times (afair almost 15 years ago) but never came into existence. To my knowledge: not possible yet, but maybe someone has got a workaround?
I guess I am dumber than a tree stump. I don’t find a solution tied to this topic.
Quite correctly observed. There is room for improvement.
