Bioth plaftforms run the latest 25.2 downloaded from LO.
Win 11 has jre21, Mageia has jre17.
When I run a report with a page break on one of the the fields, the page break is respected on the Mageia installation, but in the Win 11, the lines are sorted OK, but the report keeps listing the results without page break. I’ve never seen that in Win 11 before.
Note: I was more or less forced to download jre21 , because when replacing the existing 24.2, it somehow lost the jre. And without fussing too much, jre21 was the loderst version currently on the Oracle download.
Just noticed something: the problem does not appear in reports where the number of lines per break is rather small (less than one page). The report where I have the issue is in numer of lines much larger: the first set has some 85 lines (4 pages) before the first break should happen.
Do you use the same fonts in Mageia and Win?
I’m not sure what you really want to check, but here it goes:
The indicator for fonts in the LO Options are on both platforms: Default (well, that is what I guess for the Dutch “Standaard”).
The odb where the report resides, has been made and maintained on the Mageia and the odb simply copied to Win 11. So the fields in the report read on both “Liberation Sans”.
Different fonts will need different height of frames. If you set frames to autogrow the reports will look different.
Could you add an example or show the different behavior in screenshots of Mageia/Win 11, also showing where the pagebreak has been set?
On making the screenshots, I saw I’ve let myself being fooled by the fact that the last line of the first set of lines was quite at the end of the page. So it seemed that the page break had no effect. But looking further down had the page break clearly visible.
Being too quick to shout, sorry for the noise and thanks for looking into the non-problem.
