This appears to be a function that’s been requested FIVE YEARS ago in version 3.x. Still no way to move a table.
Converting from Word document with tables is impossible if we can’t MOVE tables.

I do not have the answer to this question … Maybe it’s not easy to implement, or it did not motivate a competent and available developer …
I can only offer you two workarounds: include in the selection the previous paragraph mark or insert the table into a frame. More details in this short video (english subtitles available).
