Very basic: can a 'Draw'.odg be placed in a 'Writer'.odm without loss of text boxes?

I have a diagram from Draw that I need to place in a document with Writer files. When I tried to add it directly to a Writer file, all of the text boxes disappeared. However, I can’t remember if I tried that with the LibreOffice files or with their .pdf versions. Thanks for your patience.

There is a possibility to insert an ODG file.
Open your ODM file.
Choose Insert>Object>OLE Object from the menu.
Follow the dialog and select the desired options.

Another possibility is to select the objects in the ODG file and copy them.
Then paste them into the ODM document.

Pay special attention to the selection step before copying: the shapes must be completely included in the selection rectangle to be part of the selection. If only a part of them intersects the selection rectangle, the shape is not kept. This could explain why the text boxes were not retained if they are located in the periphery of the diagram.

Thank you. I was able to copy most of the drawing to a blank page and then redo just a couple of arcs; also had to get some text borders away from selection rectangle.

Thank you. I hope to try that this week, but something else is a problem now. I’ll try another inquiry later.
