I understand an iOS version is still in progress but is there any way I can view (read only) one important document on my iPhone.
Commenting instead of answering because I’m not 100% sure about an LO viewer for iOS, but until that day arrives you could always export as PDF and transfer that to your iPhone. Just a suggestion.
Only just seen this reply. Thanks I’ve done this and sent the pdf to my phone but how can I password protect it?
Does anyone know a solution to this? Otherwise I’m going to have to find an alternative to LibreOffice which is a shame as I’ve found it quite successful so far. I’ve read there’s still work in progress on an iOS compatible version but sounds as if it’ll be too far in the future to be useful to me.
This is hopeless as when I add a password to the pdf it opens in Chinese on my iPhone! Doc extension changes to odg. There must be some way of saving the doc securely on my phone.
There are quite a few apps available on iOS now that support opening documents. To find them, simply search for “LibreOffice” on the App Store.
I’d suggest either Collabora Office for an experience that is close to LibreOffice (but the app is quite big) or OpenDocument Reader, which is much smaller but doesn’t display all kinds of formatting correctly.
