Web based version?

Is there an official effort to create a web based version yet? I read the other question on this (sorry, can’t post a link) but there was no specific contact info there for the people that might be working on it.

If there is, we are very interested in writing the code to add a full-featured API for AddIns (to Writer at first).

A while ago (about a year or so) there were talks about a version of Libre Office that would work in the browser. Last time I heard about it was in the summer of 2012, since then nothing. I was really hoping it would be released… will it ever be?
