What can I do to solve this? (large word, narrow column)

I need the words to be complete, without jumping from one line to another. The word ‘Valoración’ or ‘Desarrollo’ get cut like you see in this screenshot:
Writer
I’ve tried to change the format of the text but it doesn’t work

It’s a table that I copied from another document that was horizontal, so I had to reduce the width of the table since the new document (in which I have the problem) needs to be vertical.

Thank you in advance!

Without basic information like OS name, LO version and save format, don’t expect useful help. In addition your screenshot doesn’t show any formatting marks (enabled by View>Formatting Marks). We are only left with guessing.
Is this the full table? Have you constrained its width (usually Writer tables extend from margin to margin)?
Your columns are not wide enough for words ‘Valoración’, ‘Desarrollo’ or ‘Propuestas’. You must either enlarge column width or decrease cell padding perhaps in combination with font size.

For better diagnostic, attach a sample file.

Add hyphens.

Better: add soft hyphens at grammatically correct locations for word break.
Soft hyphen is either Insert>Formatting Mark>Soft Hyphen or Ctrl+-.

Thank you very much for your time! I’ll go with the soft hyphen, since I just don’t have enough space to fit all the words in all the cells of the table. I’m a newbie here, so I had no idea that the OS, the version etc could be so relevant. I take it into account for the next time

  • Increase the width of the table to fit the text

or

  • Decrease the font size to fit the size of the table cell
