What happened to the template manager in 4.0.2.2?

Hello!

I’m trying to organize my templates in 4.0.2.2 under Windows XP SP3.

For starters, the help files tell me the manager is available via file > templates > organize. But there is no templates menu entry.

After a couple of G&Ts, I looked at the Getting Started guide, which directed me to try file > new > templates. This brings up a “minimalist” manager that doesn’t look at all like the manager in the docs. There are no pretty buttons to create folders and the like.

Is the template manager still a work-in-progress?

Thanks!

Bill

@SillyUncleWilly - this is a non-answer to your question (so risking wrath of Q&A police), but it might help all the same:

There are no pretty buttons to create folders and the like.

True enough. On this particular point, it can be done by selecting an existing template. Then you get a set of tools, including “Move to folder”, and one of those options is to create a new folder:

It seems empty folders are not displayed. (I’m on Lubuntu at the moment, btw.)

FWIW.
