I downloaded LibreOffice 4 via bittorrent and ran the installer using the “typical” option. When I try to launch any LO programs, I get this incredibly generic and unhelpful error message:
LibreOffice 4.0 - Fatal Error Message
The program cannot be started.
A general error occurred while accessing your central configuration
That’s it. A quick search turned up nothing helpful: only threads about other operating systems and LO versions.
So, I re-downloaded the installer, this time via direct download, and chose the “repair” option. After completion, I still get the same error.
I am on Windows 7 32 bit. I don’t seem to be having problems with any other Java programs.
