Bruce Byfield’s book (Designing with LibreOffice) says this about the GL 3D bar graph:
A bar graph that uses OpenGL for rendering three-dimensional graphs. This choice only works when your video driver has hardware acceleration, which some Linux installations will not have.
I cannot find any other information about this bar graph. Byfield lists the GL 3D bar graph along with the other chart types, which makes me think that it should appear in the list of chart types. But it does not.
Here are my questions:
How is this type of bar chart different from a regular 3D bar chart?
What determines if it is available? How do I know if it can work with my setup?
If it is available, how is it accessed? Would it appear in the list of chart types?
I am using Windows 10 and OpenGL is enabled under Tools ▸ Options ▸ LibreOffice ▸ View ▸ Graphics Output.
