I installed The Sans Mono Condensed true-type font (downloaded from the fontgeek). When I restarted LibreOffice Draw, the font was available (it was not available before installing it), but it has a short dash after it in the font selection drop-down box. Is there a reason for this?
The dash is part of the font name: within the font file, the family is defined as The Sans Mono Condensed-
BTW, that font is quite bad and have several design flaws. If you need a good sans font, loaded with variants and OpenType features, try Public Sans or Source Sans Pro.
Thank you for responding. Yes, I kind of figured out it was part of the name after working with it for a while. I’d love to use a different sans font, but I’m an author and my publisher has specified this exact font for text in my graphics. I’m actually using Draw. Thanks again!
