options are
a) press and hold Ctrl key and Click on Heading.
b) press and hold Alt key and click on Heading.
c) press and hold Shift key and Click on Heading.
d) press and hold Tab key and click on Heading.
You didn’t tell how you prepared the table of contents. I’ll then assume it has been done the “usual” way, i.e. the headings are styled Heading n and TOC was built with Insert

When you hover your mouse over a TOC entry, a tooltip says Ctrl-click to open hyperlink: ….
If you customised the TOC entries, you may have omitted the LS
/LE
markers, in which case the TOC has no hyperlinks back to the headings. But, you can still quickly navigate to any heading by double-clicking on a heading name in the Navigator.
