Please help me find the last version of LibreOffice known to work with Mac OS 10.15.7 Catalina.

I had the exactly the same problem as you (saw your post earlier) and downloaded and installed 7.2.4.1 - it’s working again now.

1. Go to LibreOffice website.
2. Open Download page.
3. Click System requirements link on the right side.
4. See that - as of today - macOS 10.15 is still supported (mentioned as the minimal requirement).
5. If needed, scroll to the bottom of the page, and see the extended System Requirements on the TDF Wiki.

OK. It’s just that the newest update screwed things up. Perhaps I don’t have enough free RAM . . .

Quite unlikely needed RAM is increasing so much …
but complaining here is no replacment to filing a bug, so developers may notice.

LibreOffice 7.6.4 install and now it's unusable

Hard to describe what happened after I downloaded and installed the latest version (7.6.4), except to say that Writer is no longer usable. I can’t select any text with the mouse. The screen fractures into chunks of text, making it uneditable. I cannot even save a new document. So, I uninstalled it and all associated files from my Mac (OS 10.15.7) and installed version 7.5.9, but the problem persists. I can’t recall if that was the version that was working before or not, so please advise if …
