When exporting a Writer document to PDF, it is named after my template

If I create a document from a template and when I export it to PDF, it takes on the template name instead of the filename.

That is, when I open the exported PDF in a PDF viewer, I see the template name in the tab. I would expect to see the actual document name there.

This bug has been noted at least since 2017 (6 years ago) - but still no fix!

"Solution":
The workaround was to open my template (template manager, right click, “Edit”), go to “File > Properties > Description”, and set “Title” as blank.

If File>Properties, Description, Title was not blank, it is normal. Now what was in your template here? This Title field is not erased when you instantiate a template and the “title” is inherited by the document.
