When I open a tab to have two pages available in Writer, the tabs block the menu bar. Is there a way round this?

What is “tab”? Could you provide a screenshot (linking it here from any free image sharing resources)? AFAIK LibreOffice Writer doesn’t provide tabbed interface natively.
