when I select export directly as PDF my iMac changes the file into a text edit file which is ODG a drawing file? that cannot be edited. How do I fix this?
Hi. From your question I am guessing that you want to save your pdf so it can be edited in Writer subsequently.
- In the Menu click
File | Export As | Export As PDF...a new dialog window will open. Adjust your selection settings, compression, watermark etc. to suit. Under General tick the box that says Hybrid PDF (embedded ODF file). Click Export. For me, I am always changing the options to suit different media so I nearly always use Export As PDF…
Btw, the direct export as pdf creates a normal pdf that Adobe Reader expects, the fact that Draw can open and re-arrange pdf files does not mean PDF is an ODG format. Cheers, Al
