When printing multiple copies from Writer, text is sometimes "scrambled" starting with copy 7

A couple of times now, printing two different documents from Writer
7.4.2.3 on Manjaro Linux to a Brother HL-L6200DWT laser printer, I have
found that, starting with the seventh copy, some sequences of characters
print incorrectly. E.g., “lifteth” became “liThth” [with some other
indecipherable character under the first “h”]; “sweet songs” became
“sweetftongs” [with an “s” under the second “t”]; “confined” became “con
ned”; “infirmity” became “in rmity” [twice]; “justified” became “justi
ed”; and twice in the same document “after” became “aThr” [with an
indecipherable letter under the “T”].
Other documents I printed between these two printed correctly.

Any suggestions

Ligatures. Apparently, your printer has trouble printing ligatures. What happens if you print to PDF? If the same happens there, maybe LibreOffice doesn’t handle the ligatures correctly. What font did you use?

I’ve been printing similar documents with the same font (Adobe Minion Pro, but not always the same size) ever since I got the printer close to 4 years ago. The problem showed up only about a month ag0, and then a few days ago.
And why would the error show up only starting at copy no. 7? I can print multiple sets of six copies without a problem.

Just guessing: Could it be the limit of the printer memory? Maybe not, with a default of 256 MB.
The documents have many images, transparencies, etc.? How many pages?

It’s a 2-page document – double-sided 8.5" x 14". One side has fairly dense printing, the other with more white space. No images, but there is a “typographical ornament” on the second side.

The .odt files are no more than 170Kb.

Connection between computer and printer is Cat6E.
