LO 5.3.7.2 can’t find my recently installed JRE (Java version 8.171 build 1.8.0_171B121) located in c:\windows\program files (x86)\java\jre1.8.0_171. Should I rename my JRE folder, and if so, to what?

Also, what is exact message when LO doesn’t find JRE?
You installed a 32 bits version of Java and you apparently have a 64 bits LibreOffice. That won’t work, both have to be either 32 or 64 bits.
“Bitness” was the problem. My LO is 64-bit but the JRE was in the 32-bit program folder. I got the 64-bit JRE installed and Base now works. Thanks for the solution!
