Where is the AutoRecovery information saved?

Heya.

My computer crashed a while ago while I was working on something but I’d forgotten about it until now so when I opened up LO, it immediately started autorecovery. It usually works just fine, but it failed today(it only loaded my last manual save) so I’m looking for the folder where LO creates the autosaves for documents in case of a crash. I know where the backups are located but that’s not where the autorecovery files are.

I know it’s probably in the temp or a hidden folder, but I’m not sure how these files are named.

Anyway, any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Which one is recover path? Is it called Backups?

On my Linux system, using LO 6.0.7.3, they appear to be located in the Temporary files location (/tmp for me, which is the default). The 5 files currently residing there are all named “lu28354nvxb??.tmp”, where each “?” is alphanumeric, but I don’t know enough to decipher the naming convention and it’s not a large enough sample for me to make inferences. Because they are in /tmp they will disappear when I reboot.

If you enable AutoRecovery option in LibreOffice (Tools > Options > Load/Save > General > Save AutoRecovery information every N minutes) it creates an autosave file for each open document that has unsaved changes. The autosaves are created in the directory specified in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Paths > Backups.
