Does LibreOffice use MySpell or Hunspell to check spelling?

Myspell was replaced with Hunspell in OpenOffice.org 2.0.2. LibreOffice can use Myspell dictionaries, but it doesn’t use Myspell itself.

And as a general rule, don’t try to install from “fancy” sources. Use the repositories of your distribution. Since you are under Ubuntu, the utility is apt-get.
