Why do I get “Write Error. The file could not be written.” when I try to access any of my documents?

Hi

I am on linux, when I try to save a libreoffice calc document as .ods i get the above error.

If I save it as csv, it saves but colors get lost and worst of all functions are all lost after the file is saved.

Trying to save it as office format, it saves and empty file.

Debian Trixie
version 24.2.0.3

I save csv anywhere, if I just change the save from csv to anything else I get the above error.

It’s not a file permission or space error, saving in the exact same location but changing the format from csv all other formats fail.

Please add to your explanation above (open the question), use

What operating system are you using?
Where are you saving to?
Thank you.

any update on this issue?

Try updating libreoffice from 24.2.0 to 24.2.4. (actual version)
The first versions of the 24.2. series were buggy…

This was the solution, but just a note. The first attempt at updating the software some libraries were missing.

I had to uninstall and update from scratch, but now the Version 24.2.4.2 version saves.
