I am running LibreOffice 4.2 which I thought was the most recent iteration. It must not be, however, because the help function doesn’t work–it takes me to a wiki page on this site.
How can I access the most recent version (I’m running Mint 16).
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
@Queen - Could it be that you are using a portable version? If so, then it is correct.
Otherwise please inform on the exact version of LibO. (version number and buid) and your OS.
After installing the program, did you install the matching help pack? (If the help pack is not installed, you will go to a more generic web-based help system.)
Also, I had in the past experienced that sometimes an upgrade will have problems with an older user profile with various odd behaviors, one of which I had experienced a couple of times is the installed help not working. In that case, I wiped out the user profile and allowed LibreOffice to create a new profile, and then the odd behaviors disappeared (along with all of my customized settings, all 1 of them).

The most dramatic steps would be to uninstall the Help Pack, uninstall the main program, rename (or delete) the user profile directory, then install the main program, install the help pack. (And, yes, once I ended up doing those steps.)
