Using CentOS 6.5 and the packaged LibreOffice and the latest Libreoffice changing tabs causes Calc to turn gray, paint extremely slow and spikes the CPU. I have tried changing the settings under Ooptions/View to no avail.
I love LibreOffice but this makes the Calc unuable for me so any assistancd would be greatly appreciated.
What size file is this occurring on? Does it occur with a new file or only a specific existing one? Does the file contain much formatting? Extensive direct formatting adversely impacts performance.
It seems to be any file however I have few. I threw up a Debian VM and the problem does not ocurr. I’ve tried changing the Java version and it had no effect. I can’t help but think it may be related to the video card. Something other than Libre calc at any rate since it goes well beyobnd any ideas about performance in my mind.
Well… I spoke to soon. I just had Libre calc lock up KVM and it’s debian VM by tying a cell in one tab to a cell in another tab. So I guess it isn’t the grahics card as I was beginning to think. And it isn’t tied to CentOS as I thought. Maybe it has to do with the file itself as you suggested. It isn’t that big and isn’t fancy at all. about 25 tabs which are perhaps 15 columns by 25 rows.
