Why does the kerning on text I've rotated upside down in a text box mess up?

I have written text into a text box in order to rotate it upside down. I have changed the text width to 150% of normal, and changed the kerning to 1.0pt. Instead of spreading the letters out, this has for some reason bunched them all up in really weird ways.

I have no idea how to fix it. Any help would be great.

I tried to reproduce but everything was as expected.

Edit your question (don’t use an answer which is reserved for solutions) to name you OS, mention LO version and the font used in the text box. Also attach a sample file with the problem.
