Why is LibreOffice so slow at startup on Mac?

LibreOffice takes ages to start in my iMac. I am running High Sierra and have 16 MB RAM.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Approximately how long does it take? 10 seconds? 30 seconds? Five minutes?
