You will not be interested much in the “why”. I suppose you want to get advice how to avoid anwanted effects.
Your “karma” ahould now be sufficient for making attachments.
Is there any way I can manually fix this?
Attach a significant example file (containing the same image without a caption first, and then with the typical caption you want to apply) to your question, and somebody can try to find advice.
I have this problem also using latest version
