I have tried three versions of LO 7.1.2.2 the latest and all fail to highlight text with a shade which I can see. My spouses Imac [same as mine] with the same version has a shaded text when highlighted…go figure>?
Where is this asked elsewhere and what was the answer??
Does it happen in safe mode (Help > Restart in safe mode)?
Yes highlighted text is still without shading in Safe Mode. …Thanks for trying to help…Steve
I have an older laptop on which it is hard to differentiate shades. You might be best turning down the brightness of the screen, excessive brightness is commonly set by users. Maybe adjusting contrast for maximum differentiation of colours will help.
If that doesn’t work, then the answer posted in this question might be the answer you want but it takes you to Expert Configuration which is dangerous territory.
I went into LO preferences, advanced, open expert configuration, searched for transparent, and reset my transparent selection percent from 75 to 35 and now I can see my highlighted text etc. Thanks to Earnest AI :-))
