Autocorrect only works if given “patterns” are detected by your app. See the screenshot, the word about will only be corrected if you have written down the wrong version abotu. You are free to add your own words (word pairs).
For better working on grammar and orthography use the language tool extension or check https://www.languagetool.org/ for a free (limited) version for LibreOffice. Enhanced version is to pay for (https://www.languagetool.org/#Price).
