When editing my work it won’t let me put the cursor in between the words. I have to select a word and then If I add a space it removes the first letter of the next word.
Your Writer is in overwrite mode.
You switch between overwrite and insert modes by pressing the Insert key or clicking the OVER/INS indicator on the status bar.
