I have been editing macros in Libre 7.3.7.2 on ubuntuMATE 22.04 for more than a year and it suddenly refused to support this. Tools > Macros > Edit Macros now opens a minimized Libre menu on the desktop. This is also what happens when I try Tools > Macros > Organize Macros > Basic. This has never happened on my Windows computers or my Libre 6.4.7.2 on ubuntuMATE 20.04.
I decided to upgrade the ubuntuMATE 22.04 to 24.04, which coincidentally upgraded Libre to 24.2.6.2. This did not immediately eliminate the problem but when I expanded the floating Libre menu and selected Macros from it, the IDE opened. Then Tools > Macros > Edit Macros began behaving correctly again.
