why writer is stuck as oosplash?

Hello,

I am using libreoffice writer 7.1 on debian linux. When I launch the libreoffice writer, it remains stuck at the oosplash screen, and behind the scene, it is trying to read from an IPC socket having this path /tmp/OSL_PIPE_1000_SingleOfficeIPC_bd803160fa20bd98bb093c121ff1fc

To get it running again, I just removed the file and restarted lo writer, but why this happened?

To find out this problem, I’ve used strace. Are there any LO-specific debugging means?

Thank you for your help.

Did your computer crash just before that happened (and was LibreOffice running at that point in time, so the IPC socket file couldn’t be deleted correctly)?

Did you kill -9 soffice executable?

Both events may cause the socket to remain.

the system has not crashed. It was just about lowriter which did not wanted to start. I finally kill -9 it. thanks
