Ciao, I think that the right version of Snow Leopard is OSX 10.6.
In that o.s. you can run Libre Office 4.3: https://libreoffice.en.uptodown.com/mac/old

You are absolutely correct. The operating system is OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard. Thank you so very much for correcting my post and letting me know that Libre Office 4.3 will work.
