Will support for password-protected documents be removed?

Total surveillance of private communications through client-side scanning will soon be implemented in the West, and eventually, worldwide.

The absence of prominent calls to action against bills like the UK Online Safety Bill on LibreOffice websites, despite their Orwellian nature and the need for widespread implementation of DRM and confiscation of old devices for enforcement, contradicts LibreOffice’s commitment to Free Software principles.

Many other organizations seem to share this silent approval, and there doesn’t seem to be any plan for a last-ditch effort similar to the Net Neutrality protest.

It looks like there has been a collective epiphany, and these organizations now secretly believe in the inherent goodness and incorruptibility of benevolent Western democracies and their ability to responsibly handle this immense power.

Hence, my question is: will support for password-protected documents be removed, or will encryption be modified in a way that allows for scanning?

Even if LibreOffice would no longer encrypt documents, nothing can prevent you from encrypting your own files, directories, file systems on your own local drives.

Are you sure? Or maybe you just try to use such a accusing language to make yourself look a hero, and TDF worse than it is?

It’s a troll. They also filed a bug that encryption should be removed. tdf#156523

From what I know, CRA is not a backdoor bill. Where’s a similar statement about Chat Control?

Possibly you need to look at sites of projects creating chat software? Or are you implying that TDF must do whatever you believe its objective is? Read the statutes, and stop your spam. TDF does whatever is needed in the area its goals are in.
