With a projector connected, LibreOffice Impress plays video on only the presenter console

Using only my Windows 10 laptop, LibreOffice Impress 25.2.2.2 successfully plays slides with embedded video clips (MP4 with H264 encoding) on the laptop screen. I had installed the “K-Lite Codec pack 18.9.0 Standard” to get the video support for Impress. Each video clip had been scaled to fill the entire slide. Everything looked great when viewing the presentation on the laptop screen only.

When I connected the laptop to a projector, I saw the presenter console for the first time, which displayed on the laptop screen while the presentation displayed via the projector. This worked great for slides containing text and images. But for the slides with video, the video played only on the presenter console and did not play at all via the projector. Instead, only the first frame of the video statically displayed via the projector. This seems like a bug, doesn’t it?

I attempted a workaround by disabling the presenter console. Then the video did indeed play via the projector, but it was not appropriately scaled to fill the slide as I had designed. This seems like another bug, doesn’t it?

Eventually, I gave up attempting to play the video slides in Impress on the projector, and instead manually played the videos using VLC. It was an awkward presentation, but at least the videos were played properly via the projector.

Are these indeed two LibreOffice Impress bugs? Or is there something I could have done in Impress to make the videos play properly via the projector?
