When I use word wrap to create a multiline entry in any cell in a calc worksheet and then reduce the height of the rows on that sheet (via the Row Height dialog), only the first line of that cell’s entry remains visible. How do I get a row with a word-wrapped cell to remain high enough to show the entire contents of that cell?
Is seems that you did not switch on Cell Alignment and Wrap text
Select the range of cells for which you want to have a word wrap > Format > Cells > Alignment > Properties > Wrap text automatically > OK
You also can check “Hyphenation active”
When you now use automated cell height adjustment you will see all of the text in a cell.
I do have word wrap on, and it works fine at Optimal Row Height. The problem is that it is ignored when I reduce row height below optimal via the Row Height dialog.
