Writer: 5.3.4.2 Mail Merge (toolbar) Save merged documents saves wrong contents

When attempting to create a single saved document per merge contact with an attached ODS spreadsheet as data source, the contents of each saved document are not the single expected merge result, e.g.

Clicking on the toolbar button ‘Save Merged Documents’ and choosing ODT and the stem ‘invoices1’, the following documents are created for a test database with 3 contact rows

invoices1_0.odt

invoices1_1.odt

invoices1_2.odt

invoices1_0.odt contains the expected contents - the merge for contact 1 on a single page

invoices1_1.odt contains spurious content - the merge for contact 1 on a single page again

invoices1_2.odt contains spurious content - the merge for contact 2 followed by the merge for contact 3 on 3 indicated pages, but only 2 are visible

This is bizarrely useless - is it fixed in the fresh version ?
