Writer: 6.0.3.2: Styles Window Pops but does not stick

Selecting Menu.View.Styles or pressing F11:
The window flashes but does not stay up.

This occurs on :

Version: 6.0.3.2
Build ID: 1:6.0.3-0ubuntu1
CPU threads: 2; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; 
Locale: en-US (en_CA.UTF-8); Calc: group

On Ubuntu 18.04 with mate-desktop/bionic,now 1.20.1-2ubuntu1 amd64

The error does not occur on this version on Debian 9.4 with mate-desktop/stable,now 1.16.2-2 amd64

Did you read Since upgrade to Version: 6.0.2.1 (x64) I can't use Styles and Formatting?

I have noticed this problem recently. I found that VIEW > TOOLBAR LAYOUT > SIDEBAR brought the sidebar back.
