Writer is crashing quite often, I have auto-save on but I lose any work since the last one. I think it is always related to editing tables.
I am using Version: 4.2.7.2 Build ID: 420m0(Build:2) English
Ubuntu 33bit 14.04 MATE English

I think this is related to having Calc open as well. It’s a serious problem, it’s making LibreOffice very nearly unusable.
I’ll take my only chance: upgrade to 4.3.5 RC2 by using LO PPA (https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ubuntu/ppa):
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get distro-upgrade
I have upgraded as you suggest, although the second command should be:
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Office Writer and Calc are still crashing though. It happens less often and is more likely to when both are open together.
Oh, right. I don’t use §apt-get§ so I had forgotten how that parameter was meant to be written and I didn’t check.
I’ve upgraded to Ubuntu 15.10 MATE and there are no problems.
