Why do Writer docs shrink when printed? In Print Preview they appear like they’re supposed to, yet after printing the text fills about 2/3 the size of the paper.
When I am in Writer, and go File—>Print the “preview” appears like the actual output will (the 2/3 smaller).
I did a search and found a similar issue resolved a few years ago, but it was for Win7. I am using Linux Mint 17.3 “Rosa” MATE. LO version 5.2.5 but it still happens in 5.3.
All right! I found out what was wrong. It may be a bug in LO, I don’t know, but the reason why the doc was shrunk to 2/3 size was because I had ticked “Print Comments in Margin.” Obviously the doc was shrunk to accommodate comments. But… and here’s where a possible bug might be… one of my test docs HAD NO comments. If there are no comments, why would LO shrink the doc to accommodate them? So, either there’s a bug or I didn’t know what I was doing.
