Writer documents display differently on different machines

Hi All.

Wonder if someone could help with the following problem I am having.
On PC A with the same version of Windows and Libre Office the Client Manager Document displays incorrectly. You will notice that the footer and the text spacing is not correct in comparison to PC B

On PC B the document is correct see below

I can not upload the raw document due to it being larger than maximum upload file size is 1048576K

(inline display activated by ajlittoz)

When will visitors of this understand the difference between uploading a file (paperclip tool) and displaying an image (slide tool)?

That said, it is obvious from the first screen shot (with View>Formatting Marks enabled) that the document is badly written, exclusively with direct formatting. I can’t tell if in addition it is table-based or frame-based (though there are many frames for the images). Anyway, with direct formatting and manual spacing, it is extremely vulnerable to the slightest difference between computers. The computers are not the same; their configurations are not identical (at least the LO one).

Rework the document using styles, pay special attention to image wrapping attributes.

IMHO, some DTP application like Scribus would be a more adapted tool for such a document then Writer because it is page-related rather than flow-based.

But … your PC A shows just 3 (three) list items in the SECURITY section, “Specified data encrypted …” being the last, while PC B has 4 (four) there, “Specified data encrypted …” being again the last? The other items are different; also there are textual differences in e.g. last item of REPORTING - so you are comparing two absolutely different documents. What advise do you expect then?

I would like you to explain your comment " The computers are not the same; their configurations are not identical (at least the LO one)."

Both these have fresh LO installs being the same stable version 7.0.6.2 so

Further more here is a new screen shot from PC A just to disprove the notion that the documents are different

to disprove the notion that the documents are different

lol, you are pasting the different documents initially - so you just can’t disprove that you created incorrect images for your question. Garbage in → garbage out. And now I doubt that your new documents are identical - just because you’ve shown how carelessly you provide the data: I assume that the two documents are still different - the paragraph spacings there being edited to different values.

Can you read? You were told there two tools to attach additional data to your posts: the “paperclip” for files and the specialized “slide” for pictures.

Also, this site is a Question&Answer one where answers are reserved for solutions. Answering a question makes it likely solved seen from the homepage and it results in a risk of no longer attracting possible contributors.

Question can be edited as many times as necessary to improve their quality and accuracy.

Your new screenshot demonstrates more clearly than the first ones that you don’t master the basic formatting principles in Writer. You are overstressing Writer with useless tables. I bet not even paragraph styles are applied. You are trying to manually lay out all elements of your document instead of letting Writer do the job (as an example see how you force a paragraph break in the middle of a logical sentence and use spaces to “align” the rest in Task Management).

Manually formatted documents are not reliable.

NVM I will go back to MS Office, I will rather set my head on fire than use LO.
Thank you for the help
