Latest WRITER; working with converted .PDF.
Writer seems to be doing a continuous update;
Turned off headers and footers
Little blue circle goes round and round every 2 - 4 seconds, preventing me from doing anything.
Any IDEAS ?

“Latest” is ambiguous. 7.3.7 or 7.4.2? Also what is your OS (and version)?
All these factors have a bearing on the response(s) you may get.

Can you give more details about this “update”? Do you mean after you have opened the file converted from Acrobat?
And BTW, what format did Acrobat convert to (.odt, .doc, .docx, something else)?
