Writer: GUI freezes when entering characters after line break. GUI becomes responsive after toggling maximize/restore

LO ver: 7.3.4.2 30(Build:2)
OS: Arch-Linux (kernel ver: 5.18.14-arch1-1)
DE: KDE-plasma

When entering text in a document, if I enter a line break / newline and type 1 to 5 characters, the GUI seems to freeze. If I toggle restore / maximize, GUI becomes responsive again. If I enter text while GUI is frozen and toggle restore / maximize, the GUI updates with the typed-text.

I have hardware acceleration turned off but font anti-aliasing turned on. Are there additional options I should disable? I’ve read on the forums that problems with openGL can cause similar issues.

Not a solution though, but changing the zoom level will also redraw the screen.
