I have used writer over the past few days having this error.
I just briefly tried calc.
on writer
menus come up as blank boxes.
text does not highlight when selected.
document keeps lagging.
on calc
menus seem to be flashing as blank but then very quickly rendering.
ive been using Libreoffice for many years with no real issues.
This problem has persisted for the last 3 days and is a hair puller! .
in the last 3 days i have repaired then uninstalled and reinstalled libreoffice several times.
Ive deleted each install cleanly each time for a clean reinstall.
reading teh advice to change skia
i could only try in safe mode. I tried that,
the skia select box would do nothing. no line would appear or disappear.
there was no line in the box but the text below say skia enabled. (skia should be fine on my pc.)
i went into the configuration file to set skiaUSE to false.
ive still got the problem.
However now its intermittant.
I launch writer and the menus are blank etc.
sometimes i can barely add any text to the document as it lags.
sometimes the menus come back
just not the text did highlight when selected AND when using find.
however i opened a second document and that had all the issues.
it took 3 days to put togather a document that would usually take less than a daay! - mainly cos i was installing unistalling reinstalling as well as trying to work on a document with the issues.
Any ideas?
