Writer: Replicating dimensions/sizes of images to other images?

Greetings and thx in advance:

QUestions:

  1. I have about 19 images that are the same format; they are graphs with different values in each column but they’re all the same size graphs
2.How do I somehow copy the size of each image to make it the same as all the others?

or

A simple workaround is to resize the first image, then to copy and paste it 18 times. After that, you can select and copy the following images one by one, select the first of the 18 copys and paste it as bitmap. This will retain the size.

If you have created the charts in Calc, you can choose Anchor - To cell (resize with cell), and resize the rows and columns.

No, these are EACH DIFFERENT IMAGE but with same dimensions.

When you paste a bitmap image into the frame of an existing image, the newly pasted image is sized to fit the existing frame.

This is a task for Frame styles. Create your own frame style or customise built-in Graphics (which is applied by default to images).

Be aware that mastering frame styles is the most daunting task in Writer.

In addition, frames are extremely (this adverb should be repeated seven times) sensitive (vulnerable?) to direct formatting (DF), much more than the other style categories. It is extremely difficult to get rid of DF on frames. It is even impossible for some attributes. So be extremely careful and meticulous.

PS: you didn’t mention (OS name, exact LO version and) save format. Frame styles only exist in .odt. If your document is .doc(x), no chance!

As an alternative to frame styles, you can use the “Image” content control.
Select Form > Content Controls > Image from the menu.
A light blue square is inserted into the document as a placeholder for an image.
The placeholder is a little “quirky”: when you click on it, the “Insert Picture” dialog box opens immediately. However, since you want to adjust the size, cancel this process by clicking “Cancel.”
You can now adjust the width and height in the sidebar, for example, with the placeholder selected.
Once the placeholder is the desired size, you can copy it and paste it back into different positions in the document as often as you need.
You can now select each placeholder and then click on the “Insert Image” icon to insert the desired image.
The respective image will be inserted in the size of the placeholder.
The content controls were added in LibreOffice version 7.4 to improve compatibility with Word.
