Writer searching for printer connection

Since yesterday my Libreoffice tells me when opening Writer that it’s looking for a printer connection. As my network printer is switched off, it of course doesn’t find one. The Windows spooler is empty. What setting in Win10 could be causing this? Under options → Load/save the checkbox for Load printer settings with the document is unchecked.
Thanks

No experience in W$ but look at the printer configuration in LO.
Open Tools>Options, LO Writer>Print. In Other, if you ticked Paper tray from printer settings, Writer probes the printer to get current configuration. Untick it to see if situation improves.

I kind of remember a setting like "only sheet format from printer* which sure queried the printer but I don’t find it.

It was unticked.
But I seem meanwhile to have discovered the miscreant. It was my Canon printer which wasn’t being found by LO. I set a different printer to default and now the Canon can be selected.
Thanks anyway.
